Over the last two days I watched the thermometer drop from 71 degrees to below freezing. Eighteen hours of rain turned to sleet, then to snow. This morning we woke to about two inches of snow over the frozen ground. Driving conditions aren't bad, but Maureen says it's too dangerous to drive to work :-) .
Despite the cold weather the indoor plants are thriving. The cyclamen and Christmas cactus are blooming. This is my favorite orchid, given to me by Christa when I was in the hospital for my broken ankle. It only blooms about once a year, but when it does the blossoms are spectacular!
